By making an appointment and bringing your dog to be groomed by Kaye at Kaye9 Dog Grooming you agree to all of the terms and conditions below:
Appointments and Cancellations
To make an appointment, you can call/ text/ WhatsApp me on 07957999829, you can email me on kaye9grooming@gmail.com or you can fill out the contact me form on the home page. I will respond to you as soon as I can (I aim to do this within 24 hours). Payment can be made by card or cash on collection. Bank transfers must have been received before the appointment time.
I understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. With sufficient notice, this is usually not a problem, as it gives me the opportunity to fill the slot or accommodate someone from my waiting list.
However, cancellations with less than 24 hours notice can have a significant financial impact on my business. Short notice often means that I cannot offer the slot to someone else, as not everyone can come at such short notice for a specific time, leaving me with an empty appointment that could have otherwise been filled.
To help protect my small business from the very real, detrimental, financial impact this can have, the following policy applies:
Late drop off and pick up
As a one-to-one groomer the appointment time I have given to you is for you and your dog only.
If you are late to your appointment then this will unfortunately eat in to that private appointment time and I may not be able to groom your dog fully in the time I have remaining (due to other clients and commitments after your appointment time). If you do arrive late I may still be able to do part of the groom but this will be discussed on the day and depends entirely on the individual dog and it's requirements - you will still be charged the full amount of the groom.
If you are more than 15 minutes late I reserve the right to cancel your appointment as running behind will impact my other customers and this isn't fair on them. If this happens you will need to pay the full amount of the groom before another appointment can be made.
Please collect your dog at the time we have agreed on at drop off.
All of my clients deserve the private one-to-one service I offer.
Dogs still present from the previous appointment can be distressing or distracting to other dogs, meaning I can’t start the next dog’s groom, or in some cases it could be dangerous as not all dogs are social.
This is unfair to my other clients.
I will call and text you if you are 5-10 minutes late.
If you are more than 15 minutes late collecting your dog you will be charged as follows in addition to your full groom price:
0-15 mins – Free but please don’t.
15-30 mins = A late fee of £5 will apply.
30 mins + = A late fee of £10+ will apply.
In all cases of lateness please contact me so I know what is happening.
Health and Safety
Your dog needs to have had it's first puppy vaccinations before it can come in to the salon, this is for their safety as there are other dogs in the salon.
If your dog is unwell please contact me straight away and I will discuss with you what I think is best for your dog.
If your dog has fleas tell me as I can advise on how you can treat them, if your dog comes in to the salon and I find fleas there will be an extra charge of £10+ added to the full price of your groom.
If your dog is matted and it is bad then I will shave the coat off and there will be an extra charge of £5+ added to the price of your groom.
Senior and special needs dogs will have the groom carried out to what is suitable for them which will be discussed with you beforehand and again at your appointment.
Behaviour and Handling
If your dog is aggressive with other dogs or with grooming please let me know before the appointment has been made as I may need to adjust appointment times.
If your dog does not like being groomed and they are too aggressive for me to safely groom them then I reserve the right to call you and end the appointment early; depending on how much work I have done you will be charged 50-100% of the full price groom.
Please make sure your dog has been to the toilet before entering the salon. This means that your dog will be more comfortable for their groom and avoids any accidents (which will delay me).
Owner responsibilities and Liabilities
If your dog has a pre-existing condition please let me know - any medical issues or sensitivities that could affect them whilst being groomed; I would rather know too much than too little. Please tell me if they have recently been to the vets for treatment, had dental work, had any sickness or upset stomach in the past month or if you have noticed any changes in their behaviour. I will always let you know if I find or see anything different or unusual during the groom.
Photography and Social Media
I may take photos or videos of your dog for my private records but I will ask your permission before putting a picture of your dog on my social media platforms or website.
